My younger sister is studying to be an art teacher, she is going to be the best at whatever she does. Recently she and I talked about a student she is teaching. The girl told my sister that all the good people in her life leave.
I feel this way myself at times. I meet these amazing people then then we go our different ways. In contemplating this I thought to myself, we meet these great people, but why?
I know these great people but they leave and some even die. In mourning these friendships what is the gain. I believe it is so that we ourselves can become that great, that other people will hopefully feel the same way about us. My desire in writing this is to give my sister this advice to pass on. That each good person we meet has to keep meeting new people so they can inspire and show the good in this world where there is much sorrow. Even knowing good people is in itself a sweet sorrow.
For myself, I hope that I can aspire to be a better person. I hope that I can be someone people believe to be nice, good, and if I do leave people behind they know that they themselves are good.
