Just finishing up painting my room. My friend, Paul Munro, stopped in and took a few pictures, of the mess. This color was recommended to me by Bridget Galvin, she knows her colors. At first I thought it was too grey. I left and came back in the evening to a light-blue-green-grey, YUMMY! In the night I spend the most time in this room, it is calming and relaxing. I love my bedroom it is such an oasis!
The curtain in the back ground is amazing. I of course dumpster dove it. I cannot help myself. Can you blame me?
I call the image on the left the virgin. She is from Marshal Field & Company in the picture galleries they had a long time ago. She only sold for 9 bucks back then. I found her tucked on a wall in Brownstone Antiques & Collectibles. I called and harassed them for the virgin for two days. The first phone call went something like this:
"Hey, do you still have that virgin?" Me
"Sorry, I don't know what your talking about." Tim annoyed
"The oil painting of the virgin, ya' know the praying woman painting." Me
" Humm..." Tim annoyed
As you can tell, Tim did find her and I bought her, of course after annoying him as usual. :) This paint color really helps make her a bit warmer. The white walls I had earlier made her seem bit harsh, like an angry virgin praying.
Now it is time to lust over something else, Terrapini Tiles. I love all of these tiles; however I do not have a place to put them, someday I will. For now I will just ponder what ones I will be buying and what to mix them with. The company will change the glaze and the image to your needs. I really like the second tile and would use it as a kitchen backsplash. Off to dream land I go...
