Lucky Florist: Jason Trebs

This week has been fun. I have been filling vases and vases with flowers because of the holiday. Yeah, Valentines day is the biggest holiday for a florist. Trust me we have a lot of work to do. We process boxes and boxes of flowers. The store where I work, Marguerite Gardens, is filled to the brim. We have roses, lilacs, hyacinth, and tulips by the bushel.  We get to see the best of the best! I was super lucky to answer the phone to someone from Lill Street Art Center this week. They wanted a stunning arrangement of just sunflowers. A few hours later they dropped off a extraordinary vase. It looked very similar to the first one. I will be pompous and say I know my vases. The reason I loved these so much is because they look good with and without flowers. I rest my case.

I instantly asked for the name of the artist.

It was Jason Trebs, who is a very well established potter in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has work in many galleries. I also was able to find this white faceted cup on Etsy. I am scared someone out there is going to buy all of his work. Then I won't be able to buy any but, I have to spread the word. This artist deserves it.
